Questions
What are Wax Melts?
Wax melts are similar to candles, but without the flame. A blend of fragrance oils, wax and coloured dye that are combined and left to set in a solid, cold form. They are then melted in a home wax warmer or a wax burner using a 4-hour tea light.
When the wax starts to melt, the fragrance oil gets heated up and begins to slowly evaporate into the air, filling your space with the scent.
Wax Melts often come in many forms and are snapped into smaller sizes to fit safely in the top of the burner.
Are the Wax Melts Strong?
At Pollard's World of Wax we put our fragrances through a rigorous testing program and pride ourselves in making sure that they are all up to our high standards and quality. We make sure that all the fragrances are beautiful scents, highly scented.
The size of your room is a huge factor when it comes to wax melts. The smaller the room, the quicker your space will fill up with the evaporated scent. The larger the room, the more time it will take to fill the space.
Properly made wax melts have a strong and beautiful scent even when the wax is still solid.
How to use our Wax Melts?
If your wax melt is small, then it’s a perfect size to pop straight into the top of your wax warmer or wax burner.
If your wax melts are big, then they must be cut or broken into smaller pieces. Once cut or broken into a suitable size, you’re ready to melt.
Pop one of the wax melts into the top of your warmer or burner. Turn on the electric warmer or light a 4 tea-light, sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scent fill your room.
Each wax melt is made to evaporate fragrance for many hours.
As a general and standard rule, 25g wax melts will last approximately 30-40 hours, and 100g wax melts will last 70-80 hours.
We don’t recommend warming any wax melt constantly for extended periods of time. For best results, wax melts should be enjoyed in 4-hour intervals. This allows you to use each piece multiple times and makes sure that your wax warmer or wax burner doesn't get too hot.
Your warmers/burners, including the electric warmers, should never be left unsupervised and always kept out of reach of children and pets.
